About Wollongong

One of Australia’s most liveable regional cities.

The hotel, situated in the Illawarra and Wollongong region, is overlooked from the spectacular lookouts atop the Escarpment that surrounds this area, to the views out and beyond of the flowing ocean that laps into the wonderful beaches travelling down the coast. This provides the whole south coast region its special character and nowhere is this environment better illustrated than here in the Illawarra, where the escarpment actually meets the sea.

At only 80km south of Sydney, Wollongong is described by the ‘lonely planet guide‘ as having the best of both worlds’. 1st class beaches surround the city and suburbs of Wollongong, ensuring holiday makers, visitors, business people and residents alike, can relax and enjoy themselves in the laid-back lifestyle. Restaurants, bars, cafes and cultural and arts attractions provide the traveler with plenty to do, see and enjoy.

If you’re after a relaxing, fun and enjoyable place to visit, Wollongong and the beachside suburb of Towradgi are the place to be!
Geography defines Wollongong, as the city is never more than roughly six kilometers at its widest but stretches over forty kilometers from South to North. Its growth was limited by mountains, which are not so much high as steep, and the sea, Wollongong has grown, with our Grand Pacific Drive which gives you the full view of Wollongong and its surrounds starting from Sydney going down through the Royal National Park down to the Sea Cliff Bridge at Stanwell Tops continuing through Wollongong down towards Kiama and beyond.
